

Before Your Cat's Stay
We want your cat’s stay at Whiskered Away to be as smooth and stress-free as possible for both you and your cat.
Below is some helpful information to guide you before their visit.
Check-In Check-Out
Check-in typically takes around 5–10 minutes.
This allows time to:

Complete any required paperwork

Confirm your cat’s routine and preferences

Ensure we have everything we need for their stay
We aim to make this process as calm and efficient as possible for both you and your cat.
What to bring
You’re welcome to bring items from home to help your cat feel more comfortable, including:

Their usual food (if preferred)

Bedding or a familiar blanket

A favourite toy
-
Familiar items can help your cat settle more easily into their new environment.
Feeding & Diet
We understand how important diet is to your cat’s comfort and wellbeing. At Whiskered Away, we aim to keep your cat’s diet as consistent and familiar as possible throughout their stay. We provide food daily, including dry food available throughout the day and one wet meal.
If your cat requires more than one pouch of wet food per day, you are welcome to provide additional food, or we can supply this for a small additional fee.
You are also very welcome to bring your cat’s preferred food from home, which can often help them settle more comfortably.

We provide premium dry food (Advance), along with a selection of popular wet food brands, including:

Feeding Routine
Cats are typically fed twice daily, with dry food available throughout the day for grazing and a wet meal provided in the morning.
During check-in, we will ask about your cat’s usual routine and do our best to keep their feeding schedule as close to home as possible.
Special Dietary Requirements
If your cat has specific dietary needs, such as sensitivities, prescription diets, or particular preferences, we kindly ask that you provide their food for the duration of their stay.
This helps ensure consistency and supports your cat’s overall comfort and wellbeing. You are also welcome to provide treats or any additional items your cat enjoys.
Owner Provided Food
Owners are welcome to provide their own wet and dry food at no additional cost.
This is often recommended for cats with specific preferences or those who may be sensitive to dietary changes.
Receive updates during your cats stay
To receive updates easily, feel free to follow and message us on Instagram or Facebook, that way we can send you photos directly during their stay. Otherwise, we will send regular updates and photos throughout their stay via email.

While we aim to send photos daily, there may be occasions where updates are sent every second day depending on how busy we are caring for our guests. Rest assured, they will still be receiving plenty of love and attention!
